Tony and Felicity purchased Silverstrem in 2005 from Lyndsay & Dee Richardson who first developed the vineyard. The environmentally sound methods of grape growing that began in 1996 have been maintained through Tony's extensive broad acre farming knowledge. A minimal intervention regime has been developed to ensure that the wine characteristics are a true expression of the cool climate region. |
Denmark enjoys a very long growing season with gentle summer temperatures and high winter rainfall. The vines are situated on hillside topography sheltered from the prevailing winds. The northerly aspect provides maximum sun exposure that creates classic Burgunian, Rhone & Bordeaux stayles of wine. Grape Varieties |
