Handpicked at optimal ripeness and flavour. Whole bunch pressed then fermented in small batch fermenters and hand plunged. The wine spent 10 months in new and seasoned oak. A nose that demonstrates a herbal, dried oregano and lead pencil shavings. Ripe cassis and plum.
A dry wine with fine tannins and ripe black fruit with licorice and cherry overtones. A hint of tobacco leaf on the mid palate. A full bodied wine that delivers flavour, balance and tremendous length. A classic Cabernet Franc.

"This is the best wine I have tasted from Silverstream. It was a very good vintage and has been handled perfectly to get the best out of the fruit and this variety. It's smooth with chalky fine tannins and a subtle infusion of oak. The black inner fruit core is expressive, and the perfumed aromas show some classic ethereal cab franc characteristics.
