Handpicking allows for only the best fruit to be whole-bunch pressed and 100% barrel fermentation. Extended lees ageing in a mix of old and new barrels saw the development of intriguing complexity.
This wine has an intriguing nose with restrained complexity that will develop beautifully in time. A gun flint, stone fruit and popcorn aroma. A wine that shows fresh acidity with a well weighted palate exhibiting extraordinary texture and poise. Stone fruit, grapefruit and lemon fruit flavour with a pithy finish that lingers on the finish. Terrific wine that will age for 3-5 years+

BEST WINE IN THE FULL FLAVOURED WHITE CATEGORY
“A powerful white of structure & depth, showing tangy acidity under a slice of generous apple, citrus and stone-fruit characters. Perfume is fill, enticing, moreish. Wonderful drinking.
Restrained and elegant, baked apple danish, fresh lemon, honey suckle all jostling. The palate is very pretty, it's a relatively simple fresh style with just a hint of autolysis. Neat.”
WA Wine Guide – Ray Jordan, November 2019
“A wine that is all about ripe fruit and richness. Aromas of peach and cashew on the nose with a fresh creaminess. The palate is textured and lavish with deep fruit opulence controlled deftly by the oak and acid. There’s a nice influence of struck match that brings further complexity. Make sure you decant it first.” 93/100
