Floral and perfumed with elegant aromas of blackcurrant. Undertones of seasoned French oak. A medium to full bodied Cabernet Franc that exhibits a plush and integrated tannin structure wonderfully intertwined with the seasoned oak. Flavours of blueberry, plum and a warm spicy finish. Drinking well now but will continue to age for the next five to ten years.
Hand-picked, the fruit was crushed and de-stemmed before being fermented in open top stainless steel tanks using gentle extraction (hand plunging) to maximise the varietal flavours and secure a soft and plush tannin stucture in the fruit. The wine was then pressed off and matured in seasoned French oak for 10 months. Minimal fining and filtration prior to bottling.
