Aromas of spice, blackcurrant, plum and fresh herbal notes with underlying French seasoned oak. A medium to full bodied wine with soft tannins that are very well integrated with the fruit. Fruit flavours of prune and cranberry, well supported by seasoned oak and modest finish.

Description

Hand-picked, allowing whole bunch pressing this wine was fermented in small 1 tonne open fermenters and plunged twice daily, resulting in intense fruit and soft tannins. The wine was pressed to French Oak (80% new) to complete malolactic fermentation and then matured for a further 20 months.
